This ProMag magazine holds 15 rounds of .40 S&W and is built for the Ruger SR40 pistol. It is an aftermarket magazine, made by ProMag rather than Ruger, and gives SR40 owners extra loaded mags for range days, training drills or a spare in the range bag. The body is steel and the base plate is polymer, the same general layout as the factory magazine.

Construction and Fit

ProMag pairs a heat-treated, TIG-welded steel tube with a chrome-silicon spring and DuPont Zytel polymer for the follower and base plate. The steel body and polymer parts follow the pattern of the original Ruger design. The magazine is made for the Ruger SR40 in .40 S&W. Check that your pistol is an SR40 before ordering, since other SR-series models are chambered differently.
