Finally, color-coded mags that aren't junkBeen running AR mags for about 12 years now and i've tried everything from GI surplus to Magpul PMAGs and a bunch in between. Picked up a few of these red anodized aluminum mags from Keep Shooting mostly out of curiosity i wanted something to designate my 'hot' mags at 3-gun stages without slapping tape on everything. The anodize is legit uniform, no blotchy spots or thin coverage on the spine like i was half-expecting for the price point. Green anti-tilt follower is the right call, no complaints there. Locked in with a solid click on my BCM upper and two different lowers, dropped free clean every time. I did compare these side-by-side against some Redcon1 Tactical colored mags i already had (theirs are Cerakote over aluminum) and honestly the finish on the Keep Shooting ones held up just as well after a day at the range dragging them through the dirt. No flaking, no chips. Feed lips look properly formed — fed 150 rounds of Federal American Eagle 55gr without a single hiccup.

Sturdy buildI’ve been using the United Defense NATO‑Red mag on my AR‑15 for a couple of months now and it’s held up great. The anodized red really pops on the range, and the green anti‑tilt follower keeps rounds feeding smooth even after a hundred reloads.
It’s a nice upgrade from the plain black mags I had before.
