The Roxon Knife Scissors puts a folding tanto knife and a pair of spring-loaded scissors in one compact aluminum handle. It is built for everyday carry (EDC), meaning the tool rides in your pocket every day and is on hand for whatever comes up. Some jobs need a blade and some go better with scissors, like trimming cord, tape, thread or a bandage, and with this tool you carry one item instead of two. It suits campers, hikers and hunters, and anyone who opens boxes and trims things all day.

Features

• 2-in-1 Folding Design — The knife folds out from one end and the scissors from the other, and both stow inside the handle when you are done.
• Tanto Blade Profile — The blade has a straight edge and an angled, reinforced point, a shape known as a tanto that is strong at the tip for piercing and scraping.
• 5Cr15MoV Stainless Steel — Both the knife and the scissors use 5Cr15MoV, a Chinese stainless steel known for resisting rust and being easy to sharpen at home.
• Liner Lock — A spring-steel strip inside the handle snaps behind the open blade and holds it in place, and you push it aside with your thumb to close the knife.
• Spring-Loaded Scissors — A built-in spring opens the scissor blades again after each cut, so your hand only has to squeeze.
• Thumb Stud And Jimping — A stud on the blade lets you open it one-handed, and the notched grooves on the spine, called jimping, give your thumb a grip for controlled cuts.
• Aluminum Handle — The light aluminum frame has a sandblasted silver finish on the show side and blackened aluminum parts on the clip side.
• Pocket Clip — A steel clip on the back of the handle holds the tool upright in a pocket or on a belt.

Build And Materials

Roxon CNC machines the blades, so each part is cut to shape by a computer-guided mill. The knife and the scissors are each 5Cr15MoV stainless steel. The scissor pivot is fixed and cannot be adjusted. This version has the aluminum handle. A G10 handle version is sold separately as the S501U.
