Way better than using old towels on my kitchen tableBought this after finally getting tired of my wife yelling about CLP stains on the tablecloth. Had my 10/22 for maybe 15 years and done countless cleanings on whatever was handy paper towels, rags, once a beach towel I don't recommend that. This thing is THICK. Like, actually padded. Rolled out flat immediately, didn't have that curled-up edge problem my buddy's cheap mat has. The diagram is super detailed. I finally learned what that weird little spring is called (bolt stop pin spring, who knew). Only had it a month but wiped it down with a paper towel after my last cleaning and looks brand new. Should've bought this years ago.

Best cleaning mat for the price.This mat is way better than the old towels I used to use for cleaning. The ballistic data and history on the side are actually really cool to read while I am working. It feels like it will last a long time and the print is super clear and easy to read.
