Built Around the 1911

The Ruger 1911 Multi-Tool is a folding pocket tool for field-stripping, adjusting and maintaining a 1911 pistol away from the bench. CRKT (Columbia River Knife & Tool) builds it under license from Ruger, and it puts the parts a 1911 owner usually reaches for into one 4.13-inch closed package: a barrel bushing wrench, a punch rod and two Allen keys, alongside everyday pliers, a blade and a file. It is sized for a range bag, a pocket or the included belt sheath.

Features

• Barrel Bushing Wrench — The round cutout in the pliers jaws grips the barrel bushing, the collar at the front of a 1911 slide that holds the barrel and is rotated to take the pistol apart.
• Punch Rod — A slim steel rod folds out from the handle for pushing out pins during disassembly.
• 3/32 and 5/32 Allen Wrenches — Two hex keys fold out of the same handle for hex-head screws on the pistol and its accessories.
• Pliers Head — The main jaws work as general-purpose pliers for gripping and holding when you are not using the bushing wrench.
• Tanto Blade — A 2.515-inch stainless steel blade with an angular tanto point and a bead blast finish, a matte surface that cuts glare, handles cutting jobs around the range.
• File and Flat Drivers — A file and flat screwdriver tips fold out from the opposite handle beside the blade.
• G10 Handle Scales — The handles are faced with black G10, a fiberglass-and-resin laminate that stays grippy and holds up to oil and solvent.
• Belt Sheath Included — A black polyester sheath with an embroidered Ruger logo and a snap-closure flap carries the tool on your belt.

G10 and Stainless Build

The tool was designed by Garry Smith in Vermont and is built from stainless steel with black G10 scales held on by Torx-head screws. The pistol-specific tools fold into one handle and the blade, file and drivers into the other, so each handle holds its own group of tools. Ruger's logo is etched on the pliers pivot, and the blade carries both Ruger and CRKT marks.
