The SKS TekMat is produced by TekMat.com, a subsidiary of Beck Tek, LLC.
Beck Tek, LLC is a small, family-owned and operated company that is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and specializes in a number of unique products catered towards a number of niche markets. In addition to their extensive line of TekMat gun cleaning mats, Beck Tek, LLC also runs a retail website that carries several products of interest for those involved in the many outdoor sports, as well as those who are interested in: survival, tactical equipment and military surplus. Though still a relatively young company, Beck Tek, LLC has garnered quite the reputation by not only making, but following through on several pledges. Among those pledges is their promise to source products from American companies wherever possible, turning only to overseas companies when absolutely necessary. With pride in their country and pride in their product, Beck Tek, LLC looks to grow their reputation alongside the business.
One of the things that makes Beck Tek, LLC – and by extension, TekMat.com – so special is their dedication to providing customers with products that reflect the company's own interests, which means offering gun cleaning mats that not only provide shooters with a safe surface on which to work, but capture the thrill of firearm ownership as well. As such, all TekMats are both aesthetically appealing and supremely functional.
Prior to production, Beck Tek, LLC worked with numerous suppliers and designers, testing various materials to find some combination that would be well-suited for imprinting graphics while protecting your firearms. The result was a soft, polyester top-layer that allows ink to be fused into the fibers via sublimation while protecting the finish on your firearm. Additionally, a neoprene rubber backing is in place to secure the mat to your workspace, as well as protect your firearm and any parts from potential damaging impacts.
As noted, the SKS TekMat is the perfect cleaning and repair mat for your SKS rifle. Measuring 12 inches by 36 inches and 1/8 of an inch thick, the SKS TekMat presents all of the aforementioned features in a streamlined design that is both entertaining and educational. With an exploded view of the platform and each of its components, disassembly, repairs and basic cleaning have never been easier.
