ProMag SKS-A4 SKS 30rd Magazine

30-Round SKS Magazine

The ProMag SKS-A4 is a detachable 30-round magazine for the SKS rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm. A standard SKS feeds from a fixed 10-round internal magazine that you top up with stripper clips. This magazine replaces that system, so you can carry spares and reload by swapping magazines. It suits SKS owners who shoot often at the range, or anyone who wants faster reloads from a rifle they already own.

Features

• 30-Round Capacity — Holds three times the rounds of the SKS's factory 10-round internal magazine.
• 7.62x39mm Chambering — Built for the intermediate cartridge the SKS was designed around, the same round used in the AK-47.
• Detachable Design — Removes from the rifle as a single unit, so you can load spares ahead of time and swap them out.
• Integrated Latch Extension — A ribbed arm at the rear of the body reaches back to engage the SKS magazine catch at the front of the trigger guard.
• Polymer Body — The molded body is lighter than steel and does not rust.
• Ribbed Waffle Pattern — Raised ribs on both sides stiffen the body and give your hand some grip during a reload.
• Curved Profile — The body follows the taper of the 7.62x39mm case, which helps rounds stack and feed in a consistent line.
• Removable Floorplate — The base plate slides off so you can get at the spring and follower for cleaning.
• Made In USA — The body is marked as made in the USA.

Fit and Installation

To use the SKS-A4, you first remove the rifle's fixed magazine box. The extension arm then locks into the existing magazine catch. SKS rifles came from several countries and factories, and tolerances vary, so some rifles need minor fitting before the magazine seats and drops cleanly. The finish is plain black polymer, which suits both a stock wood SKS and an aftermarket synthetic one.
