The Gold Standard in Transport RestraintsBeen in corrections for going on 14 years now and i've used just about every belly chain on the market Peerless Model 7002, generic import stuff from various uniform shops, you name it. The S&W Model 1800 is consistently the one i keep coming back to. The heat-treated welded construction on the 54-inch chain is genuinely bulletproof, i've had this thing through hundreds of transports and the welds haven't budged a millimeter. The included Model 100 satin nickel cuffs are exactly what you'd expect from S&W double-locking, solid ratchet feel, no slop in the mechanism whatsoever. The 3.5-inch standoff between the cuffs and the main chain gives subjects just enough movement to sign paperwork without giving them any real range of motion, which is exactly what you want. Two keys are included which is a nice touch. Nickel finish is gorgeous out of the box, though i'll be honest it does show surface scratches after heavy field use that's my only real gripe and it's more cosmetic than functional.
Heat-treated welded construction is rock solid no flex or play in the links
Model 100 cuffs included are genuine S&W quality with clean double-lock action
S&W lifetime warranty backs the whole systemSatin nickel finish scratches and shows wear faster than blued steel would
