Model 100 Chain Cuffs

The Smith & Wesson Model 100 is a chain-linked handcuff built for officers, security staff and trainees who need a dependable restraint on the duty belt. This version has a black finish in place of the usual bright nickel, so it is less conspicuous on a dark uniform or in a black cuff case. The two cuffs join with a short steel chain, which gives the wrists a little movement while keeping them close together.

Build And Operation

Each cuff is a steel frame made of a fixed double strand and a ratcheting single strand that swings through it and locks with each click. Once the cuff is on, the key's pin pushes into the double-lock slot to hold the ratchet in place, and the same key releases both the lock and the double lock. The Model 100 uses the standard handcuff keyway, so it works with a typical universal handcuff key as well as the branded key.
