Description

Fire fighters in the military are tasked with responding to fires that can take place on military facilities. With an environment that encompasses civilian type settings to industrial facilities these fire fighters have to be prepared for anything. Ensuring safety of fire crews is essential and the use of this style jacket has been standard with military fire departments as these specialized jackets are ideal for responding to industrial type fires.

The materials used to produce these jackets is known as aluminized PBI with a Nomex/Kevlar thermal layer. This material provides greater protection during proximity firefighting where extreme radiant heat is encountered. This material gives these jackets a "space suit" appearance making them ideal for costume use or you can strike a bold fashion statement wearing as a daily jacket.

Just what I wanted. Brand new, unworn and in pristine condition. The coloring is perfect for a Fall jacket, especially in an area where it might be chilly but the temperature will not dip below the low 40s or high 30s. Will be warm, yet not hot in those weather conditions. I would have purchased it a size larger than I wear in men's sizes. I am 5' 10", about 175 lbs and I bought the XL size. It fits great, with plenty of room for my extra weight. The XL jacket runs about a size and a half larger than U.S. sizing. I might be swimming in the XXL version.

This coat is well built, thick, water resistant, in good condition, in its original issue state (unlike the overhauled mess other guys sell), very good to extreme cold weather conditions, it’s so nice I want another one. Also, there are two very handy pockets inside for small accessories. All you expect from any real Military parka! 10/10 recommend! Thanks and stay warm guys! Oh and don’t be turned off by the smell of plastic; don’t think it will be plastic rubber coated plastic that smells. Just think ‘unwashed long lost friend you have not seen in years that you get to hug after he just went on a weeklong road trip from Colorado’, not unpleasant at all, you’ll love it

It is a nice jacket, especially for the price. Only wish the hood came with it, or was an option to add on. It does have the ability to cinch the hood in, but it would be nice to actually have a hood to attach. It’s well made and heavy duty. Very happy with it. Wish it was just a tad bit longer, but overall a great purchase
