The old canvas kind review by William on 11/2/2017Love these. On sale, too. Only hitch was a small hole in the bottom, and the usual- a little bit of dirt and some magic marker- some guy's name, but perfectly useful. I want more of the same at the sale price. The cotton ones are great- beathable, good for storing clothes, gear, blankets, etc. The later nylon/polyester ones have a coating that gets sticky/smelly. Other vendors are selling garbage as used stuff, so be on the lookout.

My father was looking for a surplus kit bag so I jumped on this when I found it. Came in great shape...what a nice big bag! May order another for myself since it’s big enough for any number of uses. Arrived in good shape with all parts functioning. Dad was very happy.

Great bag and mine was in great shape. If someone had told me it was new/NOS/unused, that would have been believable. little larger than I imagined, but still very happy. Using it currently to pack/organize offroad 4x4 trips with friends. I like this bag so much I am ordering a 2nd after placing this review.

Great weekender....or more! review by Dave on 4/8/2017
I just got this and I must say it is in nice shape - it is used but not overly. It is stamped 5/88 so it's been around for a while but has lots of life left in it. It will be my new luggage bag for weekend or even week long trips and can carry everything a guy needs. I might wax it or something to give it a water resistance but other than that it will work out fine. It looks like it will hold a lot and has a nice flap over the zipper, so if it were waxed it'd be great in the rain. It's a keeper!
