WWII Canvas Muzzle Cover
This is Mil-Tec's reproduction of the canvas muzzle cover American soldiers fitted to their service rifles in World War II. It slips over the end of the barrel to keep dust, grit and rain out of the bore when the rifle is slung, stored or carried in the field. Reenactors, collectors and anyone kitting out a period display will want one for a complete WWII rifle setup.
Features
- Cotton Canvas Body — The cover is sewn from a heavy, tight-weave cotton canvas, the same type of fabric used for US field gear of the era.
- Khaki Finish — The tan khaki shade matches the canvas webbing and pouches commonly carried by US troops during WWII.
- U.S. Stamp — A bold black "U.S." is printed on the face, following the marking found on period-issue equipment.
- Snap-Closure Strap — A canvas strap at the base wraps around the barrel and fastens with a black snap to hold the cover in place.
- Bore Protection — The closed top keeps dirt, debris and moisture out of the muzzle between uses.
- Period-Correct Look — The shape, stitching and markings are patterned on the original wartime cover, so it fits in with an authentic WWII loadout.
- Commercial Reproduction — Mil-Tec makes it new, so you get a clean, sound example without paying collector prices for an original.
Build And Use
The canvas is double-stitched along the seams, and the strap is sewn directly to the body so it cannot work loose. To fit it, slide the cover over the muzzle, pull the strap snug around the barrel and press the snap closed. Cotton canvas is breathable and light, but remove the cover after wet weather so moisture is not held against the steel.

Solid ReproNot bad at all for the money. I put this on my M1 Carbine and it fits snug without being to tight. I've seen originals at gun shows and this one passes the eyeball test pretty easy.
