Marine Corps IFAK Pouch

This is the US Marine Corps first aid kit pouch, made to keep a Marine's individual medical kit on the body where either hand can reach it. It mounts to any MOLLE vest, plate carrier, belt or pack. The lid closes with a single buckle, so you can open it fast under stress. Shooters, hikers, preppers and collectors of Marine Corps load-bearing gear all carry it.

Features

• Cordura Nylon Body — The pouch is sewn from Cordura, a heavy woven nylon chosen for military gear because it resists abrasion and scuffing.
• Coyote Brown Colorway — The tan-brown shade matches current Marine Corps load-bearing gear and blends with desert and dry terrain.
• Quick-Release Buckle Lid — A black side-release buckle on a webbing tab holds the lid shut, and one squeeze opens it.
• Overhanging Top Flap — The lid wraps down over the top edges of the pouch to keep rain and dirt off the contents.
• Bound Seams And Edges — Nylon binding tape finishes the lid edges so they hold their shape and do not fray.
• MOLLE Attachment Straps — Two vertical straps on the back weave through PALS webbing, the rows of nylon loops found on military vests and packs, and lock the pouch in place.
• Snap-Secured Strap Ends — Each strap closes with a press snap at the bottom, so the pouch stays put during movement.
• Original Issue Label — The rear label reads "POUCH, FIRST AID KIT, USMC" along with the part number 8105-09-00-2725 and contract markings.

This pouch was made for the United States Marine Corps, and the sewn-in label on the back carries its official nomenclature and part number. It was built to the Corps' own specification, from the Cordura shell to the snap-closing MOLLE straps. That build standard is why issued pouches outlast many commercial ones.
