AK Blank Fire Adapter
The United Defense AK-47 Threaded Blank Fire Adapter is a muzzle device that lets an AK-pattern rifle fire blank cartridges and still cycle. A blank has no bullet to seal the bore, so on its own it produces too little gas pressure to work the action. The adapter threads onto the muzzle and restricts the opening, which holds back enough gas to run the bolt carrier. It is aimed at reenactors, film and stage armorers, and anyone running blank-fire training or ceremonial drills with an AK.

- Threaded Muzzle Mount — Internal threads at the rear let the adapter screw directly onto a threaded AK-47 muzzle in place of the existing muzzle device.
- Restricted Bore — A narrow opening at the nose traps gas from the blank so there is enough pressure to cycle the action semi-automatically.
- Notched Rear Collar — Cutouts around the rear flange follow the AK style that lets the front sight block's spring-loaded detent pin hold a muzzle device from unscrewing.
- Slotted Tapered Nose — The front end is chamfered and has a cross slot cut through the face, as the photographs show.
- Machined Metal Body — The adapter is turned from solid metal, with visible machining lines along the barrel of the part.
- Bright Silver Finish — The bare metal finish makes it easy to see at a glance that the rifle is set up for blanks.
- Compact Size — The short cylindrical body adds little length past the muzzle and keeps the rifle's profile close to standard.
Fit And Safe Use
The adapter is built for AK-47 pattern rifles with a threaded muzzle, so check your rifle's thread before ordering. Remove any compensator or slant brake, thread the adapter on, and index the notched collar against the detent pin. A blank fire adapter restricts the bore and must never be used with live ammunition: always remove it and confirm only blanks are loaded before firing.

No hassleBeen wanting to run blanks through my WASR-10 for a while now and this thing made it so easy. Threaded right onto the barrel without any mods needed, took me maybe two minutes and I was good to go. It creates enough back pressure to actually cycle the action reliably with surplus 7.62x39 blanks which is the whole point.

Much nicer than expected.I have read reviews on many other sights about these adapters showing up caked with debris. Mine was in pristine shape and looked to be brand new. Just goes to show you that sometime buying the more expensive one pays of in the long run.
