Ambidextrous Safety Selector

The United Defense AR-15 Ambi Selector replaces the single-sided safety on an AR-15 with one you can operate from either side of the rifle. Ambi is short for ambidextrous: a lever sits on the left and right of the lower receiver, so a left-handed shooter can work the safety with the firing-hand thumb. Right-handed shooters can also reach it with the trigger finger, or work it while shooting from the weak side. It suits lefties, anyone who trains on both shoulders, and builders setting up a rifle that more than one person will use.

Fit And Installation

The selector goes into the lower receiver in the same position as the factory safety. The detent and spring in the grip area hold it in each position, the same as on the factory part. Fit the drum first, then attach the second lever with its retaining screw. After installation, function-check the safety in both positions before firing.
