10 bucks for a mil-spec barrel nut, just grab oneIf your building an upper from scratch you need one of these and at $10 theres no reason to not have a spare in the parts bin. The all steel construction with the black oxide finish is exactly what you'd find on any quality factory upper. Torqued mine down to 35 ft-lbs on my Aero upper with a standard armorer's wrench and it seated perfectly threads were clean with no burrs or cross threading issues. The machining is precise and the indexing teeth lined up with my gas tube on the second torque attempt which is about as good as it gets. Ive built enough uppers to know the difference between a good barrel nut and a cheap one and this is a good one. Add it to your cart next time your ordering parts, future you will thank you

Great ReplacementIf you've ever done much work on your AR-15, you know that you will eventually need spare parts. When changing out handguards, it's relatively easy to bugger up the teeth on a standard barrel nut. That's where Keepshooting.com comes in. Have a replacement barrel nut ready so that you don't have to deal with the frustration of an incomplete project gun.
