Builder's Lower Parts Kit

The CMMG Gun Builders Lower Parts Kit supplies the small parts needed to finish an AR-15 lower receiver: controls, pins, springs and detents. CMMG leaves out the pistol grip, fire control group and trigger guard, the three parts builders most often replace with aftermarket choices. You pay for the parts you will actually use, then add the trigger and grip you want.

• Mil-Spec Components — Parts are made to the military's published AR-15 dimensions, so they fit standard mil-spec lower receivers without guesswork.
• Safety Selector — A standard selector switches the rifle between safe and fire and installs through the receiver in the usual way.
• Magazine Release — The kit includes the magazine catch with its threaded shaft and the release button that drops the magazine.
• Bolt Catch — This is the lever on the left side of the receiver that locks the bolt open after the last round or when you work it by hand.
• Takedown and Pivot Pins — The front pivot pin and rear takedown pin join the upper and lower receivers and let the rifle hinge open for cleaning.
• Springs and Detents — Springs and small spring-loaded plungers called detents are supplied to hold the pins, selector and other controls in position.
• No Grip, Trigger or Guard — Pistol grip, fire control group and trigger guard are not included, so you can fit the upgraded parts you choose.
• Black Finish — Steel parts carry a black finish that matches a standard anodized lower.

Fit and Compatibility

CMMG built this kit for AR-15 lower receiver builds that use mil-spec dimensions. The whole kit weighs about 0.5 lb. To complete the lower you will also need a fire control group (the trigger, hammer, disconnector and their springs and pins), a pistol grip and a trigger guard.
