This CMMG lower parts kit, often shortened to LPK, holds the small components you need to turn a stripped AR-15 lower receiver into a working one. It covers the fire control group, the controls, the pins and springs, the trigger guard and a pistol grip. It suits a first-time builder finishing their first rifle as well as an experienced owner who wants a full set of spares on the bench.

• Fire Control Group — The trigger, hammer and disconnector are the parts that hold and release the hammer when you pull the trigger, and the kit includes them with their springs and pins.
• Safety Selector — A standard-pattern selector lever with its detent and spring locks the trigger when set to safe.
• Magazine Catch And Button — The catch, button and spring hold the magazine in place and release it on a press.
• Bolt Catch Assembly — The bolt catch with its plunger, spring and roll pin holds the bolt open on an empty magazine.
• Takedown And Pivot Pins — These two pins join the upper and lower receivers, and the kit includes their detents and springs.
• Buffer Retainer — A buffer retainer and spring keep the buffer and recoil spring in the receiver extension when the rifle is opened.

Color-Coded Assembly

CMMG packs the kit in white, yellow, blue, green and orange bags, each holding the parts for one stage of the build. The packaging also points to CMMG's online video instructions, which walk through the installation. The kit fits a standard AR-15 stripped lower receiver. The receiver itself is not included, and neither are the buffer tube, buffer or stock.
