The East German Grey Wool Service Pants are an excellent deal, quite possibly one of the best we've had for awhile. Made from wool for soldiers in the former East German Army, the wool fabric alone is worth more than the $3.50 we charge for the pants. If that wasn't enough of a reason to buy a pair, look at how nice they are and consider them for everything from costumes to theater work.

These are great pants for cool weather. Very comfortable and well made. I ordered a size too large , so I needed some Taylor's work. Even with the additional cost these are a great value. They will last and last.

These are going to be my woods tramping pants! I have been looking for good wool pants for awhile but could never swallow the price, then I stumbled across these and thought why not. I am 6'4 and wear size 34x34 jeans. These G48s fit almost perfect, even on my long legs. They are a little snug up top so I can't button the top button, but with belt or suspenders are still useable. I will be adding piping to gusset them for a more proper fit for me. Great piece of gear for a great price!

Not available at the moment in my size, but I got these as a gift for a friend. Great value at the current price! I do have these same pants from a past purchase and the have held up well through many gentle, cold water washings, and air drying. Great without long underwear in spring and fall, but an additional layer over or under is necessary in Ohio winter weather.
If your size is not available, consider getting a pair, cutting off the legs attaching tie cords and using them as either liners or over top of other pants for additional insulation. Cheaper than buying wool fabric and making the liners!

I ordered two pairs, that way I could have a pair to keep warm while winter camping, and a pair to keep nice for dress occasions. They really are that nice of pants.

I ordered k48 size, I wear a 34 pant and 30 leg.
I received a k48-0 and a k48-1.

The k48-0 was a 28 inch waist. They promptly sent me out another k48-1 as a replacement.

Couldn't be happier!

Well finished, moderately thick 100% wool , three hooks for braces, single, flapped and buttoned rear pocket, appear to be dress trousers. I wear size 35-36" waist, 32"inseam, purchased the sg-48 size, and they are almost a perfect fit. Will keep you warm and in style for less than the price of a latte. Considering getting another pair. Need some airing out because of storage odor, but otherwise as described, unissued. fantastic value!
