Esbit Solid Fuel Cubes

Solid Fuel For The Trail

Esbit Solid Fuel Cubes are compact hexamine tablets that light with a match and give steady heat for boiling water and warming meals in the field. Hexamine is a dry, solid fuel, so there is no canister to pressurize and no liquid to spill in your pack. This box holds 12 cubes, enough for a weekend of brews or a long stretch in a bug-out bag. Backpackers, hunters and anyone building an emergency kit carry them because they are light, they keep well, and they work with minimal gear.

Features

• 12 Cubes Per Box — Each cube weighs 0.5 oz (14 g) and sits in blister strips of three.
• Hexamine Fuel Tablets — The cubes are pressed solid fuel that burns without melting into a liquid, so the flame stays where you put it.
• Approx. 12-Minute Burn — A single cube burns for around 12 minutes, depending on starting temperature and conditions.
• Boils 500 ml In About 7 Minutes — One cube brings roughly a pint of water (500 ml) to the boil in about seven minutes under typical conditions.
• Scored Into Four Sections — Each cube is divided into four segments you can break off when you only need a small amount of heat.
• High Altitude And Cold Use — The fuel still lights and burns at elevation and in below-freezing temperatures, where some canister fuels struggle.
• Waterproof Blister Packaging — Each cube is sealed in its own foil-backed blister, so opening one strip leaves the rest protected from moisture.
• Clean Burn — The cubes burn with very little smoke and leave no ash to clean out of your stove.
• Made In Germany — Produced by Esbit, the German company whose name is widely used for this type of solid fuel.

Stove Fit And Safe Use

Esbit recommends its own stoves for maximum heat output, including the classic folding pocket stove, which doubles as a storage case for the cubes, and the windscreened cook sets. The cubes also work in other solid-fuel stoves and can help get a campfire or grill going. Burning this fuel produces carbon monoxide, so use it outdoors or in a well-ventilated space and never inside a closed tent or vehicle.
