The Esbit Solid Fuel Cubes are tried and true Esbit brand hexamine fuel tablets as they were designed by Erich Brennstoff in Germany. Great value for what it is! Esbit fire source burned cleanly, no unpleasant odors (to me anyway), and provided ample heat source for our backcountry camping trip (5 hrs/day for three days). Used it with an Esbit folding pocket stove (also great for price). Can be used as a cooking fire or fireplace/fire pit source (as we did), or for long hikes/journeys (as part of a survival pack). As an FYI, do not leave burning, or used fire sources in your tent, sleeping bag, etc. I didn't notice it at first, and it singed a small hole through my rain cover. Yikes! Be safe, keep alert, and be prepared. You never know when you'll need a fire or quick fire source. This is one item you'll be happy you brought along. Esbit fire source rocks! Great stuff! -dana

Good product for emergency use. I put it in a ammo can to carry in the truck, Very nice. I got a great little stove out of it. Esbit should be an add on item for all packs and survival kits. It burns clean, burns fast, burns with wind or rain, in a emergency

My husband has me order them when I'm out of them and even tho it is more expensive then any other option out there he loves that they burn clean and have very minimal residue left behind. Love Esbit. They are perfect when out on hunting or kayaking trips and a fire starter. Plus super light weight and very easy to pack. Just my husbands opinions. Hope this helped some! Thank you
