FN SCAR 17S® Magazine

Factory SCAR 17S Magazine

This is FN's own magazine for the SCAR 17S, the semi-automatic civilian version of the 7.62x51mm NATO SCAR battle rifle. Spare magazines tend to be the first thing a SCAR owner runs short of, and a factory mag avoids the fit and feeding questions that come with aftermarket alternatives. It suits owners who want backups for range days, training classes or a loadout they can rely on.

Features

• FN Factory Magazine — Made by the same manufacturer as the rifle, so it matches the magazine well and catch the SCAR 17S was designed around.
• 7.62x51mm NATO Chambering — Built for the full-power rifle cartridge the SCAR 17S fires, the military counterpart of .308 Winchester.
• Metal Body — A stamped metal box, rather than a polymer shell, gives the feed lips and walls rigidity under the weight of heavy rifle rounds.
• Ribbed Body Panels — Long ribs pressed into both sides stiffen the walls and help guide the follower straight as it rises.
• Magazine Catch Slot — A cut window near the top on one side is where the rifle's catch engages to lock the magazine in place.
• Flared Floorplate — The extended base gives you something to grip when stripping the magazine out and helps seat it with a firm push.
• Black Finish — An even black coating covers the body and matches the standard black SCAR 17S.
• Stamped Markings — An identification code is stamped into the side of the body.

Fit and Compatibility

The magazine is made for the FN SCAR 17S and other SCAR 17-pattern rifles that use the same factory magazine. It will not fit AR-10 or M14 rifles, since those designs use different magazine shapes and catch positions. Check the capacity rules in your state before you buy.
