French CCE Fleece Shirt
This is the polar fleece shirt the French armed forces issued as field-uniform insulation, printed in the CCE woodland camouflage their troops wore for about three decades. It goes on under a combat jacket when the temperature drops, or works on its own around camp, in the woods or on a cold range day. Collectors, reenactors building a French kit and anyone after a warm, practical camo layer will find a use for it.

- CCE Woodland Camouflage — Camouflage Centre Europe, the French Army's woodland pattern, mixes tan, green, brown and black shapes printed over the whole shirt.
- 100% Polyester Microfleece — A fine, tightly brushed fleece of about 250 to 260 GSM (grams per square meter, a measure of fabric weight) is soft and resists pilling.
- Warmth When Damp — Polyester fleece keeps insulating when wet, which is why armies use it as a field layer.
- Quarter-Zip Neck — A short front zipper opens the neck to dump heat on the move and closes it again when the wind picks up.
- Fold-Down Collar — The pointed collar sits flat under a jacket and gives the neck some cover when zipped.
- Ribbed Cuffs — Knit bands at the wrists hold the sleeves in place and keep cold air from running up the arms.
- Light Weight — At roughly 9.8 oz (260 g), it adds warmth without much bulk under a shell or field jacket.
- Genuine French Army Issue — Each shirt was made for and issued to the French military.
Issued French Army Kit
The French military supplied this pullover as part of its standard cold-weather layering system, sized to fit under the issue combat jacket and worn in the field across a long service period. Its pullover cut, quarter-zip front and cuffed sleeves follow the original military pattern, and the CCE print matches the French uniforms of the same era. Buying issued kit means you get the garment soldiers were given, built to the army's own requirements.

Reliable and efficientBeen using this as a mid layer under my shell jacket on early morning deer hunts and honestly it does what its supposed to do, keeps the chill out without making me feel like a stuffed sausage. The CCE woodland pattern is pretty cool too, kinda like US woodland but with thicker stripes and it actually blends in decent in the treeline. The fleece dries out SUPER fast which is a huge plus when you been sweating on the trail.

Best fleece I own hands downIve got like 5 different fleeces and this French Army one is hands down the best. Keeps me warm in cold weather, looks sick, and its holding up great after a month of heavy use. Cant really complain about anything.

Best Budget Mid-LayerI picked this up because I needed something that could go under my outer shell during cold morning range sessions without adding a ton of bulk, and this French fleece has been doing exactly that job really well. It's 100% polyester, weighs almost nothing (seriously, like 8oz), and it actually insulates even when you work up a sweat polyester doesn't hold moisture against you the way cotton does so that matters. The quarter-zip is convenient for venting when you're moving around. Sizing note: I'm a true US XL and the 112 fits me fine but it's definitely a trim European cut, not a relaxed American fit.

Thick and warm, love this thingBought this for hunting season and honestly its better then I expected. The fleece is super thick and actually keeps the wind out pretty good. Wore it two weekends in a row without washing and still held up fine. Shipping was fast too, got it in like 3 days which was a nice surprise.
