The G3 rear sight oval washer can be found in the rotary rear sight assembly of the G3 between the rear sight screw washer and the rear sight housing and is used to prevent damage to the housing as well as assisting in spreading the load from the rear sight clamping screw. It is available as a 5-pack and is an original factory part made in Germany by HK.
