Gadsden Flag TekMat

Gadsden Flag Cleaning Mat

The Gadsden Flag TekMat is an 11 x 17 inch bench mat for cleaning and maintaining handguns. It is big enough to lay out a fully disassembled pistol next to your brushes, rods and solvent, and it keeps oil off the table and small parts from sliding around. The face carries the yellow Gadsden flag, a coiled rattlesnake on a patch of grass above the words "Don't Tread On Me."

Features

• 11 x 17 Inch Work Area — There is room for a field-stripped handgun plus the tools and accessories you use to clean it.
• Waterproof, Oil-Resistant Surface — Solvent, lubricant and water stay on top of the mat instead of soaking through to your bench.
• Thermoplastic Fiber Top Layer — The synthetic, fabric-textured face has a soft, padded feel under parts and resists scratching.
• Dye-Sublimation Printing — Heat bonds the dye into the surface fibers, so the Gadsden artwork is part of the mat rather than a coating sitting on top.
• 1/8 Inch Vulcanized Rubber Base — Vulcanized rubber, cured with heat for toughness, cushions parts and gives the mat its 1/8 inch (about 3 mm) thickness.
• Non-Skid Backing — The black rubber underside grips the table so the mat stays in place while you work.
• Direct Vulcanized Bond — The fiber surface is fused to the rubber during curing rather than attached with a separate glue layer.
• Washable — When a cleaning session is done, you can wash the mat clean and use it again.
• Rolls For Storage — The mat is flexible enough to roll up and tuck into a drawer, cabinet or range bag.

Construction And Care

TekMat is made by Beck Tek, LLC, and this mat uses the brand's layered build: a printed thermoplastic fiber surface bonded directly to a 1/8 inch vulcanized rubber substrate. The top handles oil and water, and the rubber below keeps the mat flat and stops it from creeping across the bench. Corners are rounded, and the whole mat can be washed and rolled up between uses.
