Fit and Construction

The mount weighs 6.8 ounces and secures to the rifle with a four-screw clamp, positioning the rail directly above the barrel just forward of the receiver. Check that your M1A is a Scout Squad or SOCOM 16 model with the factory top handguard cutout before ordering, since standard-length M1A rifles without that cutout are not the intended fit.
