    You're gonna have 2 separate thoughts when dealing with these mags. #1 There's no front indicator of the round count on these. So, what I've started doing is loading these with varying ammo counts to try and guess the capacity (I have about 10 of them so far) #2 But these work, and well...in a number of AR-15 variants that I own (Dans coming!) and well...they are not Metal..they are Carbon. If your unsure of how that might be a factor..let me know, Ill fill ya in. I believe these are made by some Russian corporation (I believe I saw the same mags at Skeet shots for less money, BUT theres an indicator to show the number rounds remaining, that doesn't have any lube on them. Kinda nice, just wipe them down when ever you change them. The Hex-mag however (Must of looked into it a bit after seeing how Skeet Shoot did their marketing and did their pricing), they make their own...with lube. But I had the same concerns that I had about my Pmag/hexmags...Will they stay closed if I slam the lid on the receiver?? No idea. Because unlike my other varieties, I can open and shut them all I want without the spring on them pulling them to open, until I have them lube-up. So..with this factor of remaining closed on impact, with any other brand of Hex-mag out there, how can you prove if they do it or don't do it. But, what makes these any better? # well... They have more to offer. #1 Hex-mags..look awesome. The hex shape of the front of the magazine allows them to lay into their respective area in the weapon. #2 they allow a place to rest your eyes when loading (My poor OCD side does the counting when loading 3 or 4 weapon's...it is nice to lay eyes on the mag to figure the number left.)
