The Higonokami No 3 Silver Folder is a traditional Japanese-pattern pocket knife built around a very simple idea: a steel blade, a folded stainless steel handle and a single pivot. It is a friction folder, meaning there is no lock. You open it with the lever at the back of the blade and hold the blade open with thumb pressure on that lever. Handle And Blade Build

The handle is a folded stainless steel channel, and the blade sits inside it when closed, with the chikiri lever left exposed so you can open it with one push.
