Great knifeSK5 steel takes and holds a super keen edge. The rivet is tight and the one piece handle is plenty strong. This is a good EDC knife as long as you remember how it works. No back spring to hold it open or closed so be careful.
Blade bevel makes it easy to sharpen and strop. Blade shape and sharp point are good for many purposes.
Be careful of the blade security. It is a friction folder. If you are not familiar with the type, make a small formfitting pouch to carry it in your pocket.

Perfect size for my pocketI bought this after watching a bunch of youtube videos on these knives and its exactly what I hoped for. Super simple design, no frills, just a solid little blade that cuts great.
Simple and reliable design, Great price for a quality knife
Carbon steel requires maintenance but for 12 bucks its worth it.

Beautiful knife, crazy sharpDude!!! For 12 bucks this thing is unreal. I collect budget knives and this might be the best value ive ever gotten. The SK5 steel takes an edge like nobodys business and the action on the tang is smooth right out of the box. Its got that old school japanese craftsmanship feel that you just dont get from gas station folders lol. Only thing is you gotta remember to keep it dry and oiled since its carbon steel but thats part of the charm imo.
Incredibly sharp right out of the box
No locking mechanism so you gotta be mindful when using it

Japanese folding knife, sharp and well-madeThis Higonokami knife is exactly what I was looking for in my collection. The blade is incredibly sharp right out of the box and holds its edge really well. The black stainless steel handle looks sleek and professional, and the size is perfect for carrying in your pocket without being too bulky.
Authentic Japanese craftsmanship

Incredibly sharp little knifeI bought this as a gift for my husband who appreciates traditional craftsmanship and he has not stopped carrying it since the day I gave it to him. He says the blade is the sharpest he has ever experienced on a pocket knife and that it slices through everything like butter. The black handle looks sophisticated enough that it does not feel out of place even in a business casual setting. The overall size is perfect for everyday carry and the simplicity of the design is what makes it so appealing. There are no springs no screws and no complicated mechanisms just a beautifully forged blade and a handle exactly the way Japanese craftsmen have been making them for generations.
