Description
Features
- SK5 High-Carbon Steel Blade — The 3.75-inch (9.53 cm) blade is forged from SK5 carbon steel that takes and holds a razor-sharp edge for everyday cutting tasks.
- 60 HRC Hardness — Hardened to 60 on the Rockwell scale, the blade resists rolling and dulling through repeated use and stays keen with simple maintenance.
- Friction Folder Design — No lock, no spring — the traditional slip-joint action relies on pivot friction and thumb pressure on the chikiri lever to hold the blade open.
- Extended Tang (Chikiri) Lever — The signature hooked tang extends past the handle so you can flip the blade open and lock it down with your thumb during use.
- Blackened Stainless Handle — The one-piece folded stainless steel handle carries a black finish and traditional Japanese maker's stamp on the scale.
- Lanyard Hole — A drilled hole at the base of the handle lets you rig a cord, fob, or keyring for quick access and retention.
- Compact Carry Dimensions — At 4.75 inches (12.07 cm) closed, it drops into a pocket, pack, or tackle box without adding bulk.
- Made in Japan — Produced in Miki, Japan, home of the Higonokami pattern since 1896, carrying on a design that has remained largely unchanged for over a century.
