G3 Blank Fire Adapter

This is a blank fire adapter for the HK G3, the 7.62x51mm battle rifle that served for decades as the German Army's standard service rifle. A blank cartridge has no bullet, so on its own it cannot build enough pressure to work the rifle's roller-delayed action. The adapter partly closes off the muzzle, which keeps the gas in the barrel long enough for the rifle to cycle on blanks. It belongs with G3 owners, collectors and reenactors who want the training kit that went with the rifle in service.
