M14 Blank Fire Kit

This United Defense kit sets up an M14 rifle to fire blank ammunition, cartridges that carry powder but no bullet. It is used for drill, ceremonial salutes, reenactment and training. A blank produces too little gas pressure to cycle the action on its own, so the blank fire attachment (BFA) restricts the gas at the muzzle and lets the rifle run semi-automatically. The kit has two parts: the M12 firing attachment and a matching breech shield.

Features

• M12 Firing Attachment — The bracket is stamped "FIRING ATTACHMENT BLK AMMO M12," so you can identify it by its standard designation.
• High-Visibility Orange Ends — Both ends are painted bright orange, which makes the attachment easy to see on the rifle at a glance.

• Marked Part Number 7790929 — The shield is stamped "BREECH SHIELD 7790929," which lets you match it against the reference number.
• Integral Mounting Block — A pinned block on the underside of the shield holds it in position on the rifle.
• Two-Piece Kit — Both components come together, giving you a complete blank-fire setup for the M14 in one purchase.

Build and Fit

United Defense builds this kit for the M14 platform, and both parts carry their stamped designations. The firing attachment pairs a painted gray and orange bracket with a steel rod, and the breech shield is formed from sheet steel with a dark finish. Use it only with blank ammunition, and remove the attachment before you fire live rounds.
