Worth Every PennyI was pleasantly surprised by the condition. The M74 is a licensed copy of the German M65 design a fact a lot of sellers gloss over and this one came with what appears to be a late-70s production date stamp on the orinasal cup, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The olive neoprene rubber is still supple, no cracking, no dry rot. The STANAG 4155 threaded chin port is unmolested and accepts modern 40mm NATO filters without issue, and the original Hungarian Army canvas carry bag is intact with its press-stud closure still snapping cleanly. I've seen these mislabeled as purely 'Hungarian made' when the production origin is actually Romanian both countries used this mask interchangeably so don't let that confuse you. At this price point for a complete kit with bag and filter, nothing on the surplus market touches it for a collector on a budget.

Cool Gas MaskIt came in great shape with the filter and bag just like described, fits my head fine after adjusting the straps though it was a bit tight at first. Tested the seal in the garage with some smoke and it held up no leaks. Compared to my Polish MC-1 this one feels more comfy for longer wear honestly my buddy wants one now for his prep kit. For under 30 bucks its a steal if youre into military surplus.
