Italian Army Balaclava

I've bought the Italian Army Balaclava before and I liked the way it fit and kept my head, face, and neck warm.

Italian workmanship cannot be beat! Another winner @ keepshooting!

Well, it doesn't cover much of your neck at all.
Do Italians have small heads and short necks? Well, if you do, then this would be fine for you.
The balaclava does have an additional material around the ears, that's nice, but I still can't get over how short this thing is. I don't have a large head nor a tall neck. It just doesn't fit at the neck like you would think it should.

I've wanted this balaclava for a while & w/winter around the corner I decided to get one. & man, I am super happy I got it.
Not only does the unique zipper mouth opening look mean as hell! (which is what drew me to it in the 1st place) but it's functional, & sewn on very well. Something I was happy about because before I actually received it I thought after 3 or 4 pulls on that zipper, & the coolest part of this balaclava will be ripping off. Not the case at all!
I also like the extra warming layer sewn over the ears. Nice touch.
Overall, its super warm!; Fits great w/no weird shape or anything (I'm 7¼ hat size & it fits just like it looks in the pic); Looks TOUGH! (very important!); & is gonna last for many, many yrs! Great item!!

This balaclava is well made and will keep your head warm when it gets nippy outside. Just remember to take it off when you walk into a store. :)

very comfortable and very good quality. I have a larger head and the ear padding didn't quite line up center, but still covered my ears. only issue was the mouth zipper on mine was noticeably crooked.

I've tried several different styles from several different countries. I ride a Harley year round in St. Louis whenever the temp is 40 and above. This thing along with the Swedish military neck scarf give me plenty pf protection on my head and face and still fit snuggly under my regular helmet. I can leave the mouth unzipped and my glasses hardly fog up. This is very well priced, very compact and offers an extremely large amount of warmth and protection. For price and value there should be a 6+ rating. Again KS comes thru and makes my ride a pleasure.

I work about 11+ hours a day in St. Louis and drive a semi for UPS. My day starts driving a forklift for a few hours before driving. The dock is near the Mississippi river and the open dock can be frigid in the winter! Keeping warm and with visibility is a continuous problem! Most head coverings cover the mouth! Not a good idea! Your breath not only freezes on the cover but it fogs your glasses! The zip open mouth is perfect on this! I ordered several and will sell the extras to my co-workers....

Good value and a good fit for my 7 3/4 head.
Felt thin as a blend but try on and good coverage and working zip over yap. If small ,good neck cover, big guys may want a scarf do more cover. Generous eye and can accomodate goggles well. Ear pads came to top of my ear, but again great for wee head person , traps heat like thinsulate but breathable comfort all around, good value gear and most comfortable from the rest I purchase previously , only a haircut for better fit on me, thnx KS.

Mouth zipper, ear circles for extra warmth, covers around the eyes super well. Excellent for winter, very effective. I like combining it with the Swedish Military Neck Scarf as they're similar colors and together make a very warm combo.
