Features
- 6.75" 440A Stainless Tanto Blade — Hardened to 55–56 HRC, the partially serrated tanto point delivers strong piercing capability and a versatile cutting edge for utility and combat tasks.
- Black Oxide / Teflon Coating — Non-reflective black finish protects the blade from corrosion and cuts down on visual signature in the field.
- 5mm Blade Thickness — Heavy 5mm stock gives the blade the rigidity needed for prying, batoning, and hard-use chores without flex.
- Fiberglass-Reinforced Polymer Handle — Grooved black polyamide scales provide a secure, slip-resistant grip in wet, cold, or gloved conditions.
- Glass-Breaker Pommel — Integrated steel skull-crusher pommel doubles as an emergency glass breaker for vehicle extraction.
- MOLLE-Compatible Sheath — Includes a black Cordura nylon belt sheath with a Zytel insert and MOLLE-compatible straps for chest rig, pack, or belt carry.
- 11.75" Overall Length — 295mm total length and roughly 270g weight strike a working balance between reach and carry weight.
- German Military Issue — Built by Waffentechnik Borkott & Eickhorn in Solingen, Germany — the same KM2K pattern issued to German Bundeswehr infantry.
- Full Double Guard — Steel cross-guard protects the hand during thrusts and keeps fingers clear of the cutting edge under hard use.

German Engineering Meets Military HeritageFinally pulled the trigger on this KM2K. Its the official issue knife for the Bundeswehr, made by Waffentechnik in Solingen (which if you know knives, you know thats basically the Detroit of blade steel). The 440A steel gets alot of hate online but honestly, its perfectly serviceable for a combat knife - easy to sharpen in the field and holds an edge decent enough. The tanto profile with partial serrations is classic 90s tactical aesthetic, and the G10-style handle feels secure even with gloves on. The MOLLE sheath is actually better than most factory sheaths ive seen, though its nothing fancy. Compared to my Ka-Bar, this feels lighter and more nimble - less of a tank, more of a scalpel. Only knock is the black oxide finish shows wear pretty quick if you actually use it (which... i do). Glass breaker is a nice touch for vehicle extraction scenarios.
German military issue,
