Waffentechnik
Authorized Dealer • Made in Solingen, Germany
Waffentechnik Eickhorn is one of the premier military blade manufacturers in Solingen, Germany — the Klingenstadt, "City of Blades," where the German blade-making tradition has been continuously practiced since 1200 AD. Our Waffentechnik selection includes the B2K Combat Bayonet, the KM2K Tanto Combat Knife (the Bundeswehr-pattern combat knife), and the US M7 Bayonet — all ISO 9001:2015 certified, designed for government and military use, and forged in the same Solingen workshops that have equipped German, Dutch, and NATO forces for over a century.
About Waffentechnik
Waffentechnik Eickhorn GmbH is a military and law enforcement blade manufacturer headquartered in Solingen, Germany — the Klingenstadt, "City of Blades" — where the German blade-making tradition has been continuously practiced since the late medieval period, with historians dating the first Solingen blade workshops to approximately 1200 AD. Solingen has been the home of some of the most respected blade manufacturers in the world — WKC, Wüsthof, Zwilling J.A. Henckels, Böker, DOVO, Puma, and Eickhorn — and the "Made in Solingen" designation has carried legal protection since 1571, when the city's knife makers were first awarded the exclusive privilege of stamping the mark on their products. Waffentechnik carries this 800-year Solingen heritage into modern military production: combat knives, bayonets, and tactical blades designed specifically for government and military use, ISO 9001:2015 certified, and trusted by the German Bundeswehr, the Dutch Ministry of Defence (Defensie), and military and police units worldwide.
The Waffentechnik corporate lineage traces through one of the most storied names in German military blade making. Carl Eickhorn founded the original Eickhorn company in Solingen in 1865, and for over 130 years Eickhorn produced combat knives, dress daggers, bayonets, and edged weapons for German and international military forces — including the Bundeswehr after WWII. When the original Eickhorn company faced financial difficulties around 2002–2003, the business split: Jörg Eickhorn partnered with Borkott to form Waffentechnik Borkott & Eickhorn GmbH (now Waffentechnik Eickhorn GmbH as of February 2026), while the original company reconstituted as Original Eickhorn Solingen. Both entities held portions of the German military contract, and Waffentechnik developed its own product line — including the B2K bayonet system and the KM2K combat knife — building on the same Solingen craftsmanship, the same steel suppliers, and the same government-specification engineering that Eickhorn had perfected over the previous century and a half.
Our flagship Waffentechnik product is the KM2K Tanto Combat Knife — the Waffentechnik version of the Bundeswehr combat knife pattern. The original KM2000 (Kampfmesser 2000) was adopted by the German Bundeswehr as its standard-issue combat knife, and the KM2K designation was created by Waffentechnik as their own production variant after the corporate split. The KM2K Tanto features a double-sided Tanto blade in 1.4110 stainless steel with a black Kalgard coating and a half-serrated cutting edge — the same steel grade and coating system used on the Bundeswehr-issue original. The blade measures approximately 6.75 inches with a total length of nearly 12 inches and a blade thickness of 5mm — a serious full-tang combat knife, not a tactical novelty. The handle is fiberglass-reinforced synthetic with an integral cross guard, and the pommel incorporates a glass-breaker tip that is actually the exposed end of the full-tang blade. The scabbard includes an integrated diamond sharpener strip for field maintenance and is compatible with MOLLE and IDZ (Infanterist der Zukunft — the German Army's modular combat vest system).
The B2K Combat Bayonet is Waffentechnik's bayonet system — a rebranded and modified evolution of the Bayonet System 2000 that was originally developed under the Eickhorn name. The B2K features a 7.25-inch blade in 440A stainless steel with an ergonomic black polymer handle, measuring 12.25 inches overall. Like all modern military bayonets, the B2K is designed for dual function: it mounts to a rifle's bayonet lug for fixed-bayonet work and serves as a standalone field knife for cutting, prying, and utility tasks. The 440A steel is chosen for the same reason most military bayonets use it — it is tough enough to handle the lateral stress of bayonet fighting and prying without snapping, holds a serviceable edge through hard field use, and is easy to resharpen in the field with basic equipment.
The Waffentechnik US M7 Bayonet is their production of the classic American M7 bayonet — the standard bayonet of the United States military from 1964 through the adoption of the M9 in 1986, designed to mount on the M16 / AR-15 rifle. The M7 was carried by American troops in Vietnam, and Waffentechnik's German-made version is built to the original U.S. military specification with modern Solingen steel and manufacturing quality. This is a genuine military-specification bayonet, not a replica — produced by a company that holds active government contracts and manufactures to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
