Rothco's MA-1 is a reproduction of the US Air Force flight jacket issued to pilots from the 1950s onward, cut short at the waist so it clears a seat harness and a parachute rig. The nylon shell sheds light rain and the poly fiberfill holds in warmth without the bulk of a parka. Build And Fit

The outer is 100% nylon over poly fiberfill, with the reversible lining in orange polyester. The cut follows the USAF original: a relaxed body with knit cuffs and waistband that pull the fit in, leaving room for a sweater or mid-layer underneath.
