MACE Magnum 3 Pepper Gel

Magnum 3 Pepper Gel

The Mace Magnum 3 is a 45g (1.59 oz) canister of pepper gel built for distance defense, meaning it lets you stop a threat before it gets within arm's reach. It fires a gel stream out to 18 feet and holds up to 20 bursts. A belt clip and a flip-top safety cap make it practical to carry every day. The size suits a belt, a pack strap or a vehicle door pocket.

Features

• Gel Stream Delivery — The formula leaves the nozzle as a thick, sticky stream rather than a fine mist, so it is less prone to drifting and clings to what it hits.
• 10% OC Formula — The active ingredient is about 10% oleoresin capsicum (OC, the irritant oil extracted from hot peppers), rated at 1.4% capsaicinoids, the compounds that produce the burn.
• UV Marking Dye — An invisible dye in the gel shows up under ultraviolet light, which can help identify a person who was sprayed after the fact.
• Up To 18 ft Range — The stream reaches up to 18 feet, giving you room to act while keeping your distance.
• Up To 20 Bursts — The canister holds enough gel for up to 20 short bursts, so one press does not empty it.
• Flip-Top Safety Cap — A hinged cover sits over the actuator and has to be flipped open before the canister will fire, which helps prevent accidental discharge in a pocket or bag.
• Ribbed Actuator Housing — Molded grooves on the sides of the cap give your fingers something to find by feel.
• Integrated Belt Clip — A molded clip runs down the side of the canister so it rides on a belt or strap, ready to draw.
• Made In The USA — Mace Security International manufactures the Magnum 3 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Formula And Handling

The OC is carried in a non-flammable gel base inside a pressurized steel-look black canister, with the actuator, safety cap and clip molded in black polymer. The canister is under pressure, so do not puncture or incinerate it, and do not store it above 120°F (49°C), which rules out a dashboard in summer. The label advises shielding your face when firing into a strong wind. This product is a strong irritant and is not for sale to minors.
