Bought for the looks, kept for the functionActually bought this because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with translucent mags. Figured it'd be a range toy, something to show buddies. Expected it to feel cheap, rattle, crack if I looked at it wrong. Then I discovered it's also perfect for checking ammo at a glance without pulling the mag, knowing exactly when I'm dry without the bolt locking back, loaning to new shooters so they can see what's happening, and as my "truck gun" mag since I can verify it's loaded without unchambering. Construction is legit Magpul mine's been dropped on concrete, frozen in a cooler overnight, left in a black range bag in 100-degree sun. No fogging, no stress cracks, the dot matrix still takes paint pen just fine. The ribs are actually grippier than PMAGs IMO, especially with gloves. For what Lancer and others charge for translucent, this is a steal. The "TMAG" name confuses some people who think it's a trainer mag, but this is duty-grade polymer.

Must have!I purchased five of these magazines because I really love the transparent ODG look. They come with excellent features, including an over-insertion stop, a ribbed back, and round count markings. So far, I haven't encountered any reliability issues, although I've only tested three of the five I ordered. You can't go wrong with Magpul most of the time!
