Compact Angle Head Light

This is Mil-Tec's small version of the classic military angle head flashlight, finished in Flecktarn, the five-color German Army camouflage pattern. The head sits at a right angle to the body, so you can clip the light to a strap or belt and have it throw a beam forward while your hands stay free. At 6.25 in (16 cm) long and 80 g, it is light enough to carry on a pack strap, in a jacket pocket or in a vehicle door.

Build and Power

The body takes two AA batteries, which you can buy almost anywhere, and the knurled tail cap unscrews for battery changes. The housing is impact-resistant plastic with metal fittings, including the clip and switch hardware, and it is protected against splash water. This is a commercial Mil-Tec product made in China, not issued surplus, and it is built to the familiar military angle head layout.
