Very good and inexpensive! The velcro will stay on you, not fall off. The blood stops flowing the moment it is on! Very good quality. It comes sealed in a vacuum-sealed plastic pack, I’m assuming so as not to rust. Excellent price. Hope I never have to use it, but feel confident it will be up to the job. This was given to me by a family member that is an emergency/medical provider. She had it as part of her “EMS bag” and said to keep it in my med bag.

I own several versions of TQ's and carry the best quality tourniquet that I can afford on my backpack and also on my daily work uniform as I am a professional Wildland Firefighter with the USFS, on the incident that requires it, it could save my life, I am grateful for having the skill and proficiency with the use of it and on multiple occasions over the last decade I am happy to have the wherewithal to provide my brothers and sisters in the Blue and White helmets the same luxury. A TQ has no real expiration date and it also comes a lifetime guarantee of peace of mind that you have a means to save your life and those of your loved ones. The ONLY issue I have with this model is you must own the Training version to train and learn how to actually use it and CUT the windlass off the body, with both devices!

They are good. A little over priced though, as there are others that have a higher spec as far as blood block and stuff. They're not terrible but it is a fair bit of money to drop on something you might never need to use in a high stress situation. However as a kit builder I know you can buy stuff that will not stop the bleeding at all. These Tourniquet for those not a proficient in a proper torniquet will do. will do. When we are under extreme conditions time will matter, a self clamp and bandage might be a good alternative.

This tourniquet is amazing. The CAT is a 1 1/2 to 2 inch tourniquet that is made to fit any limb. When in place it will be just slightly above the bone on the limb it is applied to. It comes with a double handed application method which really is simple to understand. And then it tightens. This is NOT for the mildly injured. I have had a non tourniquet limb that had a hand inside a sleeve on the injured limb and when the pressure is applied to the tourniquet (This CAT) on the limb the sleeve was in will move. It will slowly compress the hand on the CAT and it WILL reduce circulation. That said I would rather loose a limb than be without this tourniquet. And this tourniquet does come with two tails to secure to multiple limbs, a storage bag, and practice material to try it out.

Great product for any medical person, trauma or EMS. Comes with a fraying remover that you will never need. You can purchase just the one tourniquet and add your choice of attachment like the t.p. blade or armband for a small amount more. The ONLY thing I didn't like is that it has been redesigned to make removal easier and includes an "anti fraying remover". I've always removed mine with the old way, which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.
