Patrol Bleeding Control Kit

The North American Rescue Individual Patrol Officer Kit, known as the IPOK, packs the core tools for stopping serious bleeding into one vacuum-sealed pouch small enough to carry in a uniform cargo pocket. NAR built it for patrol officers who may need to treat themselves or a partner before EMS arrives. Security staff, range officers and armed citizens who want the same capability on their person carry it too. This version, SKU 80-0167, comes with NAR Wound Packing Gauze as its gauze dressing.

Features

• C-A-T Tourniquet — One Combat Application Tourniquet, a strap with a windlass (a rigid rod you twist to tighten the band around a limb) until bleeding from the arm or leg stops.
• Tourniquet Time Strap — A white strip printed "TIME:" gives you a place to write when the tourniquet went on, which receiving medical staff will need to know.
• 4-Inch Emergency Trauma Dressing — One NAR ETD 4" flat, an absorbent pad attached to an elastic wrap so you can cover a wound and hold pressure on it in one step.
• NAR Wound Packing Gauze — Gauze meant to be packed firmly into a deep wound to help control bleeding where a tourniquet cannot be applied, such as the groin or armpit.
• Black Responder Gloves — One pair of size large gloves to keep blood off your hands while you work.
• Vacuum-Sealed Pouch — The contents are compressed flat inside a sealed outer pack, which keeps them clean and dry and makes the kit thin enough for a pocket.
• Printed Contents Label — The front label lists every item and marks which gauze is inside, so you can confirm what you are carrying at a glance.
• Marked Tear Points — Red markers at the corners of the pouch show where to tear it open quickly.

Packing and Carry

The outer pouch is black with a white contents label, and it slides into a zippered thigh pocket on standard duty pants. Because everything stays sealed until you need it, the IPOK can live in a pocket, glove box or range bag without the dressings getting soiled. The components are single use, so plan to replace the kit once it has been opened.
