The North American Rescue S-Rolled Gauze is quality youc an trust in the heat of battle. Made from premium cotton, North American Rescue's S-Rolled Gauze can be used to control hemorrage in conjunction with a compression bandage, used as a backing gauze for hemostatic dressings or for minor wound bandaging. The S-Rolled Gauze is packed in NAR's unique dispenser that allows for controlled applications and will protect unused portion from being contaminated during application.

<p>I purchased this item as one of several other items for my "Range Bag" first aid kit when I go shooting.<br />A First Aid Kit Is A Must Have When Shooting! Accidents Can Happen! Needless to say this is an item I hope I never have to use.<br />It comes vacuum packed in a sealed sterile package, so reviewing the gauze itself is not possible. I can only hope it is adequate should it be needed.</p>

<p>Thought I was ordering the flat packed one but that's my bad for not looking closely enough. this one will go in the glovebox kit or something. used this type of gauze in a TCCC seminar and i really preferred it to the rolled stuff. it won't roll away from you and feeds out of the package more easily. came still sealed, no expiration date printed but most suggest a five year shelf life (seriously though its just cloth it doesn't go bad). Hope I never need it but it is good to have around especially at this price.</p>

<p>Smaller than a deck of cards, this gauze will fit perfectly in a mini individual first aid kit (IFAK). I plan to make small IFAKs to use for hiking, and this is a perfect product. It's compact, durable, and I'm sure it'll work as expected. FYI, mine came in a white/clear package.</p>

<p>Works fine.<br /><br />Of minor note... when a need for this (to keep a dry wound clean & cushioned) arose I kept trying to open the center tab for the easy pull use as advertised here, yet after that not working for a while I finally looked closely at the package as a whole and noticed u have to first tear open the outter durrable package, then the inner slides out and the easy roll sealing tab can be opened. Obviously if it were an emergency I would have tried an alternate method but fyi so in an emergency no extra thought is required.<br /><br />Slid back into the outter bag, left overs still packaged cleanly and well for any non-sterile future needs, now back in the first aid kit. My hands were on the plastic, only thing that touched the roll itself were scissors.</p>
