Compact Sterile Wound Gauze

North American Rescue S-Rolled Gauze is a sterile cotton dressing made for packing wounds and covering injuries when bleeding has to be dealt with quickly. It is vacuum sealed into a small flat block that fits in an IFAK (individual first aid kit), a trauma pouch, a vehicle kit or a range bag. Medics, EMTs, law enforcement and prepared civilians carry it alongside a tourniquet and pressure bandage.

Features

• S-Rolled Fold — The gauze is folded back and forth in an S pattern instead of wound on a core, so it feeds out in a continuous strip as you pack or wrap.
• 4.5 In x 4.1 Yd Stretched — Each pack holds a 4.5 inch wide strip that measures 4.1 yards (about 3.7 m) when stretched.
• 6-Ply Cotton — Six layers of white cotton gauze give the strip bulk for filling a wound cavity and soaking up blood.
• Sterile Until Opened — The label guarantees sterility unless the package is opened or damaged, and the gauze is marked for single use only.
• Red Pull Tab — A bright red tab on the inner wrap gives you something to grab with gloved hands, and the outer pouch has red tear notches at both sides.
• Vacuum-Sealed Pouch — The gauze is compressed into a flat, rigid block that takes up little room and stays protected from moisture and dirt.
• Latex Free — The packaging states it is not made with natural rubber latex, which matters for patients with latex allergies.

Packaging And Compliance

North American Rescue lists this gauze as TAA compliant, meaning it meets the Trade Agreements Act rules for US government purchasing, and it is made in the Dominican Republic. The label carries the medical device mark, the sterile symbol and single-use and do-not-resterilize warnings, and the reverse shows a CE 0050 mark. Check the pouch before you stow it: if the seal is broken or the package is damaged, the gauze should no longer be treated as sterile.
