Norwegian Issue Harness
These are genuine Norwegian Army load-bearing suspenders, a shoulder harness that clips to an equipment belt and moves the weight of pouches, canteens and tools off your hips and onto your shoulders. A loaded belt sags and shifts without support. With these suspenders it stays put. They suit field users building a belt rig, reenactors who want issued kit, and collectors of Scandinavian military equipment.

- OD Green Canvas Webbing — Tightly woven canvas webbing in OD green, the olive drab shade used on military field gear, makes up the entire harness.
- Wide Shoulder Straps — Broad webbing over the shoulders spreads the load across a larger area than a narrow strap would.
- X-Back Design — The two straps cross between the shoulder blades and are stitched together at the crossing, which keeps the harness from sliding off your shoulders.
- Split Front Straps — Each front strap divides into two narrower straps, giving four front attachment points so the belt's weight is spread evenly around your waist.
- Six Snap Hooks — Black spring-gate snap hooks on every strap end, four at the front and two at the back, clip onto the belt and release quickly.
- Slide Adjusters On Every Strap — Metal slide buckles on the front straps and riveted adjusters on the rear straps let you set the length for your height and for whatever you wear underneath.
- Shoulder D-Rings — A metal D-ring on each front shoulder gives you a spot to hang a light, a sling clip or other small kit.
- Box-X Stitching — Stress points carry box-and-cross stitch patterns, a military reinforcement method that sews a square and an X through the webbing so a joint cannot pull apart under load.
Genuine Military Issue
These suspenders were made for and issued by the Norwegian Army. They are original equipment, not commercial copies. The hardware is a plain, practical set: blackened metal hooks, slides and D-rings on canvas webbing, with nothing to snag or reflect light. Works As Both Suspenders And Load HarnessI got these mostly to use as regular suspenders with some work pants and they do that job GREAT but I was surprised how well they also work as a load bearing harness when I clip them onto my old surplus belt. The metal clips are way better than the plastic stuff you see on cheap suspenders these days and they havent bent or broken even with some weight on them. The OD green color is pretty accurate to my other gear. Only minor thing is the webbing has a slight stiff feel at first kind of like a new leather belt, nothing a few uses wont fix.

Fast shipping, good qualityI grabbed the Norwegian Army Suspenders after seeing them on a surplus forum, and they feel built like a tank. The heavy‑duty olive drab webbing and the black metal clips are solid, not the cheap stamped parts you get on most replica gear. I love that the length adjusts all the way to 42″, so I can use them as a simple brace or hook them into a load‑bearing harness. The only thing that bugs me is the D‑ring—it’s a bit stiff until you work it in.

Rare Norwegian SurplusI've been hunting down authentic Norwegian military surplus for a while now and these suspenders are a legit find for under ten bucks. The olive drab color is spot on, the metal attachment hooks are solid none of that cheap stamped sheet metal you get on repo gear and the construction feels like it was built to actually support a load-bearing harness, not just hold up somebody's khakis at a weekend BBQ. Compared to the US Issue Y-shaped suspenders, these feel slightly heavier duty in the webbing material and the metal hardware is noticeably thicker.
