So my friend came over the other day, this big bearded farmer guy and wanted to buy one of my machetes because they’re not available where he’s from, in Texas. I don’t really go around trying to sell things, but I didn’t want to say no. So I let him pick one out and it’s one of these. Now it’s hard to compare to another brand because I haven’t used them, but this thing feels like it could chop through concrete. I mean I’ve never tried it but the handle and the blade feel amazing and the steel seems to be really strong. I also like the weight, not too heavy, just right. And you can buy a kangee sheath for it, which you can get on Amazon. I recommend the real one because the one from Amazon is just a copy and doesn’t really fit that well, but this blade fits the kangee sheath perfectly and I don’t think you can go wrong. I think I’m gonna get another one of these. If I ever lose mine I’ll be buying another one. And if anyone from Ohio reads this and wants to send me a couple more, I’ll be happy to send them to my friend who is stationed in Texas. He’s a bit of a knife enthusiast, so I’m sure he’ll like them. Thanks for the product.

Great cutting edge. Very durable for its thickness and length. Easy to sharpen, I did mine with a cheap pocket sized diamond knife sharpening tool. Would have been nice to be able to add it with another item in Amazon but that’s my fault for waiting too long to purchase it and it had already sold out by the time I purchased the 81-01 machete with the bag and pouch. The pouch and sheath it comes with works well for keeping the handle from sliding around in your hands. The grip is slick plastic which will need to have rubber, textured tape put on it. I’m sure most other items with a grip like this have to do the same. Great product, would recommend!

Great product and great service

I've owned several of these over the years and they have always been my go to tool in the bush. They hold up great, are very durable, and are extremely sharp right out of the box. I use mine primarily as a camping/hiking machete but it would work well for clearing brush or even some light duty wood cutting around the house.

This thing is awesome! I've been looking for something like this for a while and it's exactly what I wanted. It feels great in my hand and is very well made.

I have had this thing since it came out and it has been through hell and back and still going strong.
