Polish Navy Sailor Top
This is the middy shirt issued to the Polish Navy. A middy is the classic sailor's pullover, with a deep V-neck at the front and a broad square collar that falls flat across the shoulders at the back. It is cut from navy blue cotton-polyester twill and has long sleeves with buttoned cuffs. Collectors, naval reenactors and costume builders buy it because it is the actual issued garment. It also works as a sturdy everyday overshirt.

Original Issue Details
The shirt follows the Polish Navy's own pattern: a pullover body, the square back collar, set-in long sleeves and buttoned cuffs, all in one navy blue cotton-polyester twill. Sizing uses the Polish military system printed on the neck label. The first number is chest in centimeters and the second is height. A label reading 110/175, for example, fits a chest of about 43 inches (110 cm) and a height of about 5 ft 9 in (175 cm).

Way better than that cheap oneAfter the last middy shirt from that surplus site ripped at the seams literally two washes in I went with this Polish Navy one and the stitching is way thicker you can see it right away. the collar actually stays flat not like that other one that kept curling up.

Surplus that is totally worth it!I been layering this under my flight jacket all winter and it works PERFECT, keeps me warm without being too bulky and it looks sharp doing it. The material is heavier than a regular tee but still breathes pretty decent when im moving around outside. Love that its actual authentic Polish Navy issue, you can tell the quality is real and not some knockoff reproduction. Only thing i noticed is it runs a little longer in the body than a typical undershirt but honestly that just means it stays tucked better.
