The TekMat Remington 870 Cleaning Mat is a padded work surface for stripping, cleaning and reassembling the 870 pump-action shotgun. It keeps solvent and oil off your bench and gives small springs and pins a surface to land on instead of rolling away. A full exploded parts diagram is printed on the face, so you can check where a part goes without leaving the bench. It suits first-time owners doing their first field strip and experienced shooters doing routine maintenance.

Construction And Care

The mat is built in two layers: a printed thermoplastic fiber surface vulcanized onto a 1/8 inch rubber substrate, with no separate glue layer to let go. It ships packed in a protective tube with a small TekTowel microfiber cloth for wiping down parts. When you finish a cleaning session, wash off the residue, let the mat dry and roll it back up.
