Rothco Chow Kit
The Rothco Chow Kit is a three-piece stainless steel eating set: a spoon, a fork, and a serrated knife that lock together into a single compact unit. It is built for the field, where carrying three loose utensils means losing one. The three pieces interlock through keyhole slots in their handles, so they travel as one stack and come apart when you sit down to eat. It suits campers, backpackers, hunters, and anyone who already eats out of a mess tin and wants proper cutlery that stows small.
Features
- Three-Piece Set — Includes a spoon, a four-tine fork, and a serrated knife, enough for a full meal.
- Stainless Steel Build — Every piece is stamped from stainless steel, which resists rust and takes repeated washing without corroding.
- Interlocking Handles — Keyhole slots in each handle let the three pieces stack and lock together into one unit for carry.
- Serrated Knife Blade — The knife has a toothed edge for sawing through bread, meat, and tougher rations.
- Built-In Bottle Opener — The knife carries a notched cutout that works as a bottle opener, so there is one less tool to pack.
- Riveted Spoon Handle — The spoon handle is held by two rivets, a solid join that will not loosen with use.
- Carry Pouch Included — A black snap-close pouch holds the stacked set and keeps the pieces from rattling loose in a pack.
- Compact Field Format — Stacked and pouched, the whole set takes up about the footprint of a single large spoon.
Build And Carry
All three utensils are stainless steel, stamped and rizeted rather than cast, which keeps the set light without making it flimsy. To pack them, you slide the keyhole slots over one another so the spoon, fork, and knife nest into a single stack. The included black snap-close pouch holds that stack and clips shut so nothing works loose on the trail. Hand wash and dry the pieces after use to keep the steel clean.
