This is Ruger's factory 10-round magazine for the M77 Gunsite Scout, the compact bolt-action rifle built around fast handling and a detachable box magazine. It holds ten rounds of .308 Winchester, also listed as 7.62x51mm NATO, the military designation for the same cartridge family. Scout owners use it as a spare to keep a loaded mag ready, and it also fits the Ruger Precision Rifle (RPR), so one magazine can serve both rifles.
