This is Ruger's own 15-round magazine for the SR40 pistol in .40 S&W. Owners use it to replace a worn or lost magazine, or to add spares for range days, carry rotation and training. Because Ruger makes it for this pistol, fit and feeding are built to the gun's original specification.

Features

• 15-Round Capacity — Holds fifteen rounds of .40 S&W, the full standard capacity for the SR40.
• Double-Stack Design — Cartridges sit in two staggered columns, so the magazine carries more rounds without growing much longer.
• Blued Steel Body — The tube is steel with a blued finish, a chemical treatment that darkens the metal and helps it resist corrosion.
• Numbered Witness Holes — Holes down both sides, marked 4 through 15, let you check how many rounds are loaded at a glance.
• Polymer Follower — The follower, the platform the spring pushes up under the cartridges, is polymer for smooth travel inside the steel tube.
• Removable Polymer Floor Plate — The baseplate comes off for cleaning the spring and follower, and its flared edge helps you strip the magazine out of the grip.
• Steel Spring — A steel magazine spring drives each round up into position for the slide to pick up.
• Factory Ruger Part — The body is stamped SR40 40S&W and carries the Ruger logo near the base.

Build And Fit

The magazine fits the Ruger SR40 and SR40c pistols. It pairs a blued steel body with a polymer follower and floor plate, and the floor plate removes for maintenance. It is chambered for .40 S&W only and will not work in the 9mm SR9 or other Ruger models.
