Shield 45 Seven-Round Mag

This is the factory Smith & Wesson magazine for the M&P Shield 45 and M&P 2.0 Shield 45. It holds seven rounds of .45 ACP. A Shield owner can use it as a spare for daily carry, or swap it in when they want a longer grip and one more round on board. Because it is an OEM part, made by the pistol's own manufacturer, it matches the original magazine that ships with the gun.

• 7-Round .45 ACP Capacity — The magazine holds seven .45 ACP cartridges and is stamped "45 AUTO" on the body, the other common name for the same round.
• Stainless Steel Body — The tube is bare stainless steel in a silver finish, which resists rust from holster sweat and humidity better than plain blued steel.
• Grip Extension Baseplate — A black polymer baseplate extends below the grip, giving your hand more to hold and making room for the extra round.
• Textured Baseplate Panels — Stippled panels on the sides and front of the baseplate give your fingers a positive hold when you seat or strip the magazine.
• Numbered Witness Holes — Witness holes, small windows in the side of the tube, are marked 3, 4, 5, 6 and +1 so you can check the load at a glance.

Fit and Construction

The magazine fits the S&W M&P Shield 45 and the M&P 2.0 Shield 45. It will not fit the 9mm or .40 S&W Shield models, which use different magazines. Construction is a stainless steel tube with a polymer follower and a polymer extended baseplate. Since the extension adds length below the grip, check that your holster or magazine carrier leaves enough room for the longer baseplate.
